Together we learn. Together we achieve.

Year 4 visit to the London Eye!

We had the most amazing end of year trip!  Our day started with a trip on the Elizabeth line and tube to Waterloo where we walked to the London Eye, past an iconic statue of Nelson Mandela and the Southbank Centre.  Quite a few of us were nervous (including Miss Werrin) but we were brave and embraced the experience of going on the wheel which took us on a journey above the capital’s skyline.  We loved it!  We saw some of the buildings that we’d been studying for last term’s art project, the Houses of Parliament and the river that snakes through the city- The Thames.  After we’d completed our 360 degree journey, we had a picnic and a run around in the big open space which has the London Eye as its backdrop which was wonderful, and then had a stroll along the river to the area outside the Royal Festival Hall to cool down in the fountain installation. The jets of water sprang up intermittently which added to the fun of the experience and then we were ready to head home.
