Being Human Workshop - Year 6
Some of our year 6 pupils have been selected to take part, over the next two weeks, in a creative workshop led by guests from King's College London as well as our chair of governors, Mrs Sonia Tuttiett. The workshop will combine Art, DT and Drama around the topic of diverse communities.
In today's session, pupils looked at fables, and how these stories have been used throughout the ages to teach valuable life lessons. Pupils then were read a fable about four animal friends; a gazelle, mouse, crow and tortoise. The fable told the story of how the animals worked together to overcome difficulties and solve problems. Each group was given a specific character from the fable and directed to make their own calligram of one of the animals from the tale. The workshop will carry on next Friday, so watch this space for updates!
