Year 2 were proud to welcome parents to their sharing assembly, where they showcased all the wonderful learning they have completed during the spring term. The assembly began with English, where children spoke confidently about The Lonely Beast by Chris Judge and shared the imaginative character descriptions they had written about their own unique beasts. They then moved on to mathematics, demonstrating their understanding of grouping and sharing by modelling their thinking and strategies for parents. The children also highlighted the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, explaining what they had learned about a balanced diet and regular exercise. Finally, they shared their knowledge of the Great Fire of London, ending with an engaging role play of the events of 2nd September 1666, bringing history to life for their audience.
