    Fri 30 Nov 2018

Congratulations to this week's dinner winners!

This week at school we celebrated the value "risk taking", and in order to succeed in their learning, this week's dinner winners were not afraid to take risks with their work!

The winners were rewarded with a special restaurant style lunch with our Headteacher, Ms Broughton!

    Well done!

  • Year 3 Parents Topic Workshop

    Fri 30 Nov 2018

We had a very successful afternoon on Thursday 29th November, when  31 parents attended the Year 3 Design and Technology topic afternoon in our Hub. Pupils from Bach and Mozart classes, and their parents showed off their creative skills when they collaborated to design and produce photo frames. They used lolly sticks to create a sturdy frame, ensured they attached their own photographs to it, and finally decorated it with a range of resources, such as beads and feathers. From the feedback given at the end of the session, it was clear that parents valued spending quality time with their children:

“Today was really nice spending one-to-one time with my child.”

“I always say projects with your little ones are the best bonding ever!”

The Hub was buzzing, as always, with excited pupils and parents, all working on their end products. All parents will have the opportunity to work creatively with their children in our Hub on a regular basis; please keep checking for letters about this on Fridays. We are looking forward to working with you soon!

The Winter Reading Challenge launches in all Newham libraries on Saturday 1st December. The aim of the challenge is to read three books of your choice between the 1st December and 11th January 2019. Visit Manor Park library to pick up your special Christmas card reading log where you can collect stickers as you complete the challenge. You can also complete online book reviews at: www.winterreadingchallenge.org.uk. When you have completed the challenge, you can collect a certificate from the library or print it off from the Winter Reading Challenge website. The school with the highest number of finishers will be awarded a trophy so it would be great if lots of children from our school take part in the challenge.
