  • Christmas Concert!

    We have just had our final whole school assembly of 2019, and went out with a bang with our Christmas concert! All the children joined in enthusiastically to sing some well-known Christmas carols, and the KS1 Choir performed for the school!

  • Santa Claus is coming to town! Sir John Heron Town!

    Christmas truly came to Sir John Heron Primary School today! The children all had a visit from Santa who gave out presents. We raised £281.00 for Save the Children by wearing Christmas jumpers. We also gathered in the main school hall where everyone enjoyed a traditional Christmas lunch of turkey and stuffing. 

     

    From everyone at Sir John Heron, we hope you have a lovely and restful Christmas and New Year. 

  • It's Panto Time! Oh, no it isn't! Oh, yes it is!

    This week, Sir John Heron children were visited by a pantomime company. They performed a version of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ which the children thoroughly enjoyed. There was a great deal of audience participation which made the performance even more thrilling.

  • Christmas Fayre

    Thank you to everyone from the local community who attended our Christmas Fayre. We raised a total of £354.71 for the school. Well done to the Year 6 children and teachers who organised the fayre and for making it a wonderful success.   • Year 2 Nativity Performance

    Thank you to all the parents/carers who attended the Year 2 Nativity Performance this morning. The children have been practising hard in preparation for the performance and we hope you enjoyed watching the children perform!

     

    Well done to all the children in Year 2 for an excellent performance, and all our Year 1 children for supporting Year 2 with their lovely singing voices and dance moves!

  • Reception Dress Rehearsal - Sneak Peek!

    Reception children performed their dress rehearsal for their Christmas performance to KS1 this morning. They have been learning about how Christians celebrate Christmas in class, and have been preparing some Christmas songs to share with their families.

  • Year 2 Dress Rehearsal - Sneak Peek!

    Year 2 performed their Christmas performance to the rest of the school this morning, with Year 1 supporting them with their excellent singing voices! The performance was full of singing and dancing, and told the Nativity story. 

     

    Well done to all the children involved.

     

    Parents/carers are invited to watch the performance on Monday 16th December at 10am (last entry 10.10am).

  • Dinner Winners!

    Well done to our dinner winners who have demonstrated the school values of "Reflection" and "Proudasaur" this week! The children enjoyed a festive lunch with our Acting Headteacher, Mr Howell!

     

    Next week our values will be "Exploraptor" and "Reasoning".
