  • Climate Change Workshop in Darwin Class

    Thu 30 Sep 2021

This week, Darwin class had the pleasure of taking part in a Climate Change workshop. As a class, we learned about the impact of climate change and spoke about how our actions contribute to the rise in air pollution, animal extinction and deforestation. We then discussed ways to save our planet and considered what our vision of a better planet would look like. In groups, we created posters that represent our vision of how we would want our world to be. We all took turns presenting our ideas to the rest of the class and then took part in a litter pick, which supported our learning within the curriculum and enriched our understanding of climate change.

  • Clever Never Goes Workshop in Reception

    Wed 29 Sep 2021

Clever Never Goes is the new campaign that teaches children how to stay safe from abduction whether they are outside or online.

It’s the modern, child-friendly alternative to the out-dated and fundamentally flawed ‘Stranger Danger’ message. Rather than fearing the worst in everyone they don’t know, Clever Never Goes helps children to recognise specific situations that are unsafe and gives them the tools to respond. Our children were fascinated to have a member of the Metropolitan Police in their classroom.

  • Clever Never Goes

    Tue 28 Sep 2021

Today Year 3 and 4 pupils participated in a 'Clever Never Goes' workshop, delivered by a member of the Metropolitan Police. The workshop taught children some practical safety skills which they will be able to use when they are out and about. This will help them in the long run when they become more independent.

    Thu 23 Sep 2021

Reception children were fortunate enough to get some sunshine today and luckily Mr Mason was able to take them out into the MUGA for their PE lesson. They enjoyed running around and getting physically active in their session.

  • KS2 Choir Afterschool Club

    Tue 21 Sep 2021

Every Tuesday, children from KS2 gather in the music room to attend our choir club led by Miss Slocombe. This week, I had the pleasure to listen to them rehearse the song 'Sing'.

I particularly found the chorus very powerful:

    'Sing it louder
    Sing it clearer
    Knowing everyone will hear you
    Make some noise
    Find your voice
    Tonight
    Sing it stronger
    Sing together
    Make this moment last forever
    Old and young
    Shouting love
    Tonight'

  • Cosmic Yoga in Reception
