  • Year 4 visit to the London Eye!

    Tue 27 Jun 2023

We had the most amazing end of year trip!  Our day started with a trip on the Elizabeth line and tube to Waterloo where we walked to the London Eye, past an iconic statue of Nelson Mandela and the Southbank Centre.  Quite a few of us were nervous (including Miss Werrin) but we were brave and embraced the experience of going on the wheel which took us on a journey above the capital’s skyline.  We loved it!  We saw some of the buildings that we’d been studying for last term’s art project, the Houses of Parliament and the river that snakes through the city- The Thames.  After we’d completed our 360 degree journey, we had a picnic and a run around in the big open space which has the London Eye as its backdrop which was wonderful, and then had a stroll along the river to the area outside the Royal Festival Hall to cool down in the fountain installation. The jets of water sprang up intermittently which added to the fun of the experience and then we were ready to head home.

  • Reception visit to Barleylands!

    Tue 27 Jun 2023

Reception had a fantastic time at Barleylands Farm for our end of year trip! We saw many different animals such as; cows, sheep, goats and pigs. We also got the chance to pet and feed them which was very exciting and enjoy a bumpy tractor ride around the farm. As well as seeing farm animals, we also saw some animals you wouldn’t normally see at a farm. We saw snakes, meerkats, eagles and even hissing cockroaches! It was truly a memorable experience we will never forget.

  • Art Week!

    Fri 23 Jun 2023

It has been a full week of inspiration, imagination and creativity for Art Week! Across every year group the children have enjoyed building their art skills in painting, collage, clay work, texture and pattern. We have used a range of media and have created some fantastic work. The children have felt very proud of their achievements this week. Each year group focussed on an artist to inspire their work.

  • Art Gallery in School

    Fri 23 Jun 2023

This week children in Years 1-6 have been creating incredible art work as part of our school's art week. The learning journey involved learning about an artist and exploring their work. We used the artists style and form to then create our own inspired pieces. The work produced by children is of an exceptional standard and each piece is unique! Take a look at the work we have produced.
