As a school we have been working really hard to further develop this area of the curriculum and we are delighted with the results. A special thanks to our staff who have worked very hard to develop their own practice and the local artists that have given up their time to support the school. We look forward to building on this success over the next academic year!

  • Year 2 visit the Tower of London

    Thu 09 Jun 2022

On Wednesday 8th June Year 2 pupils had a great time exploring London's iconic castle; the Tower of London. Children were lucky enough to experience getting up close to the Crown Jewels in the year of the Platinum Jubilee. They were also amazed by the ravens at the Tower of London. Did you know Charles II is thought to have been the first to insist that the ravens of the Tower be protected after he was warned that the crown and the Tower itself would fall if they left. In addition to all this, pupils had an opportunity to walk through the historic moat transformed into a beautiful new naturalistic landscape. Designed to attract pollinators, insects and seed-eating birds, the flower display called the Super Bloom has evolved into new colours and scents allowing the children to have a wonderful sensory experience.

We were so proud of their incredible work and found the exhibition very interesting. The P21 gallery is open to the public and the exhibition ends on Saturday 11th June 2022.
