  • Beegu Strikes!

    Thu 22 Feb 2024

Earlier this week, the year 1 classrooms were left in a mess! Our tables and chairs were flipped upside down. There were yellow feathers and footprints scattered all around the room. We acted as detectives to investigate this crime scene. We wrote down notes and questions that needed answering. The next day, we were introduced to our new book 'Beegu' and as a year group we compared the picture of Beegu to our evidence that we found in class and concluded that Beegu had committed the crime and broke into our class because Beegu has yellow fur and yellow feet. How did she break into our classroom?

  • Let's go fly a kite!

    Wed 07 Feb 2024

This afternoon, the pupils in year 6 held a kite flying competition, putting their creations to the test. This term, their DT topic was 'Kites' and they spent several afternoons planning, creating and perfecting their final products. After the competition, they returned to class to evaluate their masterpieces. Keep an eye on our Instagram page, as you will be treated to some videos of the event very soon.

  • Reception visits Discover Children's Story Centre

    Tue 06 Feb 2024

On Monday, the children from Blue and Red Classes paid a visit to Discover Children's Story Centre in Stratford. They set off after morning registration and made their way to the Centre via two of London's famous red busses. It was a very exciting journey! Along the way, the spotted tall buildings, busy roads and blue skies. Upon arrival, they made their way to a very interesting story room, where they met Hootah, an alien from a faraway planet. Hootah loves stories, and they children had time to explore the magical story room. Following this, they worked in classes and created a story together about a bear and a fox! Finally, they had time to enjoy a snack in the sensory garden before returning to school.

  • Thursday Together

    Thu 01 Feb 2024

Earlier today, Reception parents and carers visited the school for Thursday Together. The focus was 'Number and numerical patterns' and children had a blast showing their skills to their families. It was a very enjoyable morning, as demonstrated by the feedback given by parents/carers:

'My boy was very happy to explore with mummy and his little sister. It was a great opportunity for me and my child to explore'.

'It was a great experience having the opportunity to spend time with my child engaging in activities and playing. The classroom was set up very well and the teachers made us feel very welcome. There was so much to do; spoilt for choice!'

'A really interactive session, really nice that there are lots of activities available for the children. The variety allows the children to be engaged.'
