Making Healthy Choices (Understanding the World) - W/B 15.06.26

This week, in the role play area we set up an ice cream shop activity, which helped our pupils to build essential play skills, practise turn taking and improve fine motor co-ordination. It also helped them to learn about making healthy food choices by discussing the different types of flavours and the healthy way to make ice cream at home. 

Sensory Writing (Fine Motor Skills) - W/B 08.06.26

This week the two year olds have enjoyed a sensory writing experience which helps build their hand strength, finger control, and pre-writing skills without the pressure of holding a pencil.

The Rainbow Fish (Communication and Language) - W/B 01.06.26

This week in the Two Year Old provision, the children have been focusing on the  ‘Rainbow Fish’ story book. The children have explored different textures such as playdough and painted pasta shells. This activity created an opportunity to develop conversations skills, a story retell and developed fine motor skills.
