Year 1's Visit to Valentine's Park
Year 1 students visited Valentine’s Park as part of their science learning to explore trees and plants throughout the changing seasons. By returning to the park in autumn, winter, spring, and summer, the children were able to observe how trees and plants change over time. They noticed differences in leaf colour, plant growth, and the presence of flowers or seeds in each season. This hands-on experience helped them understand seasonal changes in the natural world and supported their learning about the life cycles of plants. The regular visits encouraged curiosity and observation skills.
