Year 2 Visits Manor Park Library
On Monday afternoon, the year 2 children visited Manor Park Library to take part in the launch of this year's Summer Reading Challenge. The Summer Reading Challenge is a nationwide initiative that encourages children to continue reading throughout the summer holidays by borrowing and reading books from their local library. During the 45-minute session, library staff introduced the challenge, explained how the children could take part, and provided each child with a collector folder. Children who brought their library cards were also able to borrow books. Both year 2 classes attended the visit together and were excited to begin the challenge.
