Year 6 Becomes Artists
Mon 29 Sep 2025In art we have been focusing on cityscapes and the work of the artists Stephen Wiltshire and John Virtue. We went on a visit to the city with our art books to draw the cityscapes. We drew many skyscrapers such as the Shard,Gherkin and the Walkie Talkie. It was really fun because we went all around London and experienced the skyscrapers up close.

Fire Safety Workshops
Wed 10 Sep 2025Earlier this term, year 2 and 5 pupils took part in a Fire Safety workshop where a firefighter from the London Fire Brigade visited the children to talk about fire safety. He showed the children what a firefighter wears and explained how each piece of equipment helps to keep them safe when fighting fires. The firefighter also talked about what to do if there is a fire, including how to stay calm, get out quickly, and call 999. The children learned important steps to stay safe and asked lots of questions about his job. It was an exciting and informative visit that helped everyone understand how to stay safe in an emergency.
