Beautiful Butterflies!
Thu 03 Apr 2025Our nursery was filled with excitement as we received a special delivery of caterpillars! The children eagerly watched as these tiny creatures grew, observing their daily transformations. Over the course of several weeks, we marvelled at the magical moment when each caterpillar formed a chrysalis, cloaked in a protective shell. Finally, the beautiful butterflies emerged, vibrant and full of life. After nurturing them for a few days, it was time for the grand release. With excitement, we let the butterflies flutter into the sky.

Chick Chick Chick Chick Chicken!
Fri 28 Mar 2025We had a special delivery in Reception recently, eggs! We thought long and hard about where the eggs may have come from and what might hatch from them. We soon realised they could be chicken eggs! We waited patiently each day, watching the eggs in the incubator, for a sign of hatching success. On Wednesday, it happened! The first chick hatched from its egg, then another hatched, then another hatched too! It was interesting watching the process unfold and seeing how the chicks changed and grew each day. When the chicks were big enough, we got to hold them which was a fun experience. It also inspired us to carry out some chick themed activities such as making nests and split pin chicks. We said goodbye to the chicks when they were big enough to go back to the farm and ready to live with other animals.

Year 4 Visits Manor Park Christian Centre
Fri 21 Mar 2025This week Year 4 visited Manor Park Christian Centre to learn about the importance of Easter to Christians. They had various workshops throughout the morning that linked to learning about Easter. There were six different workshops: stained glass painting, Easter garden, drama, singing and banner making. Groups of children took part in two workshops and then shared what they had learnt in a show and tell session at the end of the visit. The children had a fantastic time in all of the workshops! They are now equipped to link what they have learnt from the visit to our RE Day session, which is all about Easter.
