• KS1 RWI Parent Workshop

  This week, we held an engaging Read Write Inc. (RWI) Phonics Workshop for our Key Stage 1 parents. The session provided an overview of our school’s RWI phonics programme, explaining how phonics is taught and how children progress through the different stages of learning to read fluently. Parents explored the sounds their children learn and discovered practical ways to support reading at home. We also demonstrated how to access helpful resources such as virtual phonics videos, reading books, and storybooks on Oxford Owl.

  

• Girls Tag Rugby Competition with Tapscott Sports Hub Schools

  We are delighted to announce that the year 5 and 6 girls tag rugby team competed against 3 other school and came in first place, bringing the cup back to school! We are so proud of their achievement, resilience and hard work. Well done! 

  

• French Story Telling in Lower Key Stage Two

  The chidlren in Lower Key Stage Two were treated to a French storytelling workshop today, where pupils were told the story of ‘Goldilocks’ as well as the ‘Three Little Pigs’. During the workshop, the speaker told the stories in both English and French, having the children repeat some of the French words/phrases back to her, to help them practice. This was a great experience for year 3 and 4!
