  • Year 6 Junior Citizens

    Wed 23 Nov 2022

On Monday morning, Year 6 went to the Tate and Lyle sugar refinery and learned how to keep ourselves safe. As we arrived, we were split into teams and we had different workshops we had to attend and participate in. We were spoken to by a variety of organisations such as London Fire Brigade, Transport for London and Hope. We learned that there are good gangs and bad gangs, how to avoid grooming, the consequences of alcohol abuse, what to do when there is a bag on the bus, how to act when you board the bus, how you should behave when you are swimming, what to do when there is a fire and also what to recycle. It was an enjoyable morning with many life skills to remember as we move towards being more independent students.
