After lunch, we started the first activity of our stay. Some of our pupils had a canoeing session with the instructors. This was a relaxing but challenging activity to enjoy in the sun!

After dinner, which was delicious, we had to take responsibility for tidying up the dining room to develop our responsibility and independence.

We then went exploring on an evening walk and played some football before showering and getting ready for bed. An action packed day was had by all!

  • Year 6 Visits Windsor Castle

    Mon 04 Jul 2022

We had an amazing day out at Windsor Castle on Friday 1st July.  The architecture was breathtaking- the stuff of dreams and the interiors were equally awe-inspiring.  We saw stained glass windows in Saint George’s Chapel, tapestries in the state apartments, works of art wherever we turned and formal gardens with fountains surrounding the castle.  We met a guard on sentry duty, who have us a bit of a shock with his impromptu stamping, heard the pipers piping and drummers drumming as the guards changed, and all of this was accompanied by an audio tour which told us about all of the things that we could see and the history attached to the places we experienced!

  • Year 4 visits Hampton Court Palace

    Tue 21 Jun 2022

On Friday, Year 4 pupils left school on a coach and made their way to Hampton Court Palace, once the residence of King Henry VIII. It was a splendid day as we travelled back in time to when the Tudors lived, worshipped and cooked meals in the stunning palace. We saw a chocolate kitchen, magnificent architecture, stunning paintings, elaborate staircases, the Tudor kitchens and the great halls. We enjoyed walking through the beautiful gardens. It was a memorable day!

  • Bach Class Litter Picking

    Tue 21 Jun 2022

Pupils from Year 3, Bach Class made a difference in their local community today when they took on the challenge to collect litter in Little Ilford Park. They set off after lunch, armed with litter pickers, bin liners and gloves. Within 40 minutes they had filled about 14 bags! • SJH Art Gallery!

    Fri 17 Jun 2022

Today 17.06.22 we will be hosting our first community art gallery event! This event is to showcase all of the incredible work that our pupils have created in art and design this academic year. As a school we have been working really hard to further develop this area of the curriculum and we are delighted with the results. A special thanks to our staff who have worked very hard to develop their own practice and the local artists that have given up their time to support the school. We look forward to building on this success over the next academic year!
