  Well done to the Pixies who are the winning house for this term!

   

  All the children in the winning house will be rewarded with a visit to the cinema on Friday 19th October to watch "Early Man".

  Well done to our dinner winners this week who have demonstrated the school value 'Risk-taking'! These children showed that they were brave in class and not afraid to make mistakes in their learning this week! The children were rewarded with a special restaurant-style experience during lunchtime with our Deputy Head, Mr Howell!

   

  Next week's value is 'resilience' - don't be afraid to take on challenges and persevere through any difficulties you face!

  

• Year 6 Tchoukball Competition

  Well done to all the Year 6 children involved in yesterday's Tchoukball competition!

   

  It was a fantastic effort from everyone, but the winners of the competition were ... the Trolls!

   

  Children played against each other to win house points for their house team, and at the end of the term, the winning house will be rewarded with a trip to the cinema!

   

  I hope you're all excited to see how the house point scores are looking in Friday's assembly!

  Well done to all the children today who won an award during assembly!

   

  This week, the value of the week was Reflection, and a child from each class was awarded a sticker in assembly and a special restaurant experience at lunchtime in the main hall with our Headteacher, Ms Broughton. Children had a lovely time and enjoyed their very special lunch!

  

• Stepping Stones Positive Parenting Programme

  The first of the Stepping Stones Triple P Discussion Groups is taking place today from 1pm to 3pm.

   

  The programme has a limited number of spaces, so if you have not returned the slip but are still interested in attending, please contact Mrs Patel through the main office to check if there is availability.

   

  The Stepping Stones Positive Parenting Programme is designed to support parents/carers of children with Special Educational Needs up to 12 years old. Groups discuss how parents can work with their children using tried and tested parenting techniques, and assists parents to develop and learn a range of parenting skills.

   

  The group consists of 6 sessions held at Sir John Heron, running from Wednesday 12th September to Wednesday 17th October, as well as a pre-arranged telephone call from a Triple P practitioner.

   

  Unfortunately, there are no crèche facilities on the premises so parents will need to make other arrangements for younger children to be cared for.

   

  We look forward to seeing parents at the first session this afternoon.

  Welcome to our brand new school website! We have created the website to keep parents up to date with school news and notices, and to showcase some of the great things our pupils are achieving. The website is extremely easy to edit by all staff at the school, so check back soon for new updates!
