Year 5 DT visitor
Sun 14 May 2023On Friday, the pupils in Maroon and Turquoise classes worked with a second year Product Design student from UAL Central Saint Martins, Jess Lee. Jess showed the pupils some of the projects she has worked on and talked through the relevance of having a design brief. She then assisted the pupils in creating their own design briefs, based on their DT topic; 'Musical Instruments'. It was great for Year 5 to work with somebody from the DT industry!

Coronation Event!
Fri 05 May 2023Today we enjoyed celebrations for the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III! The school was decorated with colourful banners and streamers in honor of the occasion, and pupils were dressed in red, white and blue. The day was filled with a range of activities inked to the King’s coronation, for example, painting portraits of King Charles III, making crowns, decorating bunting and making coronation plates. In the afternoon everyone in school had a class tea party, where children enjoyed sandwiches, cake and fruit to mark this momentous occasion!

Fri 24 Mar 2023We had a fantastic turn out for our Family Friday session this morning. We enjoyed focusing on oral health/hygiene, healthy eating and exercise. We were busy immersed in making fruit kebabs, brushing teeth, organising healthy and unhealthy foods into groups, taking part in in an obstacle course, making healthy food in the Gruffalo Cafe. In addition to this, we had some lovely Mothers Day activities for children to take part in alongside their mothers, for example, making bracelets and necklaces, wreaths for our mothers, hand printing flowers and making Mothers Day cards.
