Family Friday- Mathematics
Fri 03 Feb 2023This morning we had a huge number of parents who came into Reception for our Family Friday with a mathematics focus. Family Fridays are a valuable experience for both children and their parents. When parents are invited into the classroom, children have the opportunity to show off their mathematical skills and share their learning with the people who are closest to them. Additionally, it can provide parents with a first-hand look at what their child is learning in mathematics, the types of activities and play they are engaging in, and how they are being challenged and engaged in the learning process. By participating in Family Friday sessions, parents can gain a deeper understanding of the mathematics that their child is learning and can use this knowledge to support their child's learning at home. Please browse through the pictures from the session which took place today.

NSPCC Number Day!
Thu 02 Feb 2023Don't forget that tomorrow is NSPCC Number Day!
We are having a fun day of maths activities and we will be taking part in Dress up for Digits. Pupils are asked to wear an item of clothing with a number on it (football shirt, cap, netball shirt or even a onesie!). On the other hand, get even more creative by dressing in a maths or numbers theme.
To help raise money for the NSPCC to support their services such as Childline, we are asking for a voluntary donation of £1, and we would love everyone in the school to take part in this special event.
Last year we raised £233, let's see if we can beat the total this year!
