Ultimate STEM Challenge
Fri 06 Dec 2019Year 5 and 6 are taking part in the Ultimate STEM Challenge! They will be competing against other primary schools in England.
For this competition the children have to design their own wearable technology for the future. They will be thinking about:
- How will their ideas and design help improve someone's life?
- What will make their design's different from other competing schools?
Three winning schools will win £750 and a surprise trip!

Summer Reading Challenge Trophy!
Fri 29 Nov 2019Well done to all the pupils who took part in the Manor Park Summer Reading Challenge! During the summer holiday, children were challenged to read 6 books, and this week, Shanti from Manor Park Library came in to give those pupils their certificate!
Not only that, but because Sir John Heron has had the most number of pupils sign up to the library in the local area, we were given a special trophy by Councillor Makwana!
The trophy will be put on display in our cabinet in the main foyer.
Well done to all the children who took part and keep up the excellent reading! -

Tanni Grey "Being Human" Workshop
Thu 21 Nov 2019Take a look at the Year 6 page to learn about the Tanni Grey class workshop, "Being Human", at Little Ilford Baptist Church. Children thoroughly enjoyed this workshop which involved reading fables, creating their own costumes and acting!
